PFace leads with palm recognition, which stays reliable on hands that defeat a fingerprint sensor.
Palm recognition reads the print and crease pattern across the whole hand instead of one fingertip. It is contactless, and because the palm is far less exposed to wear than fingertips, it enrols reliably for workforces where fingerprint readers fail every week.
Worth knowing before you buy. This is the terminal to specify when fingerprint has already been tried and is causing daily exceptions. It is not a general upgrade for a clean office — there, fingerprint or face costs less and works just as well.
